Born and raised on a hobby farm in Huron County, Ontario, Sara was on a horse before she could walk. At 11, Sara joined her local Pony Club where she gained a solid foundation in horsemanship, and went on to compete nationally and internationally in quiz, dressage, and rally (eventing). During the same time period, Sara competed on the local eventing circuit & brought her mount up the levels of eventing and dressage until he sold in 2018.
During her undergraduate studies at the University of Guelph, Sara found a new discipline when she joined the Polo Team where she competed and worked as a groom. Sara is currently an EC registered and insured coach, in the process of becoming licensed and NCCP certified. In May 2024 Sara achieved her EC rider level 10 certification, complimenting her levels achieved throughout her years in Pony Club.
Sara actively coaches at various Ontario dressage circuits, and in 2024, she competed FEI Small Tour with her coach’s horse Balthasar. Sara finished the season competing in her first CDI1* in Bromont, QC where she earned her highest scores of the year, and finished as the gold FEI Champion for Ontario Dressage.
